The Vastness of God
Who is God?
Exodus 16-18: God is our only provider. Everything comes from Him. God expects us to rest and worship Him. Even though we are short-tempered and short-sighted, God still provides for us. God is our strength and protector. God does not expect us to do ministry alone. God puts people of wisdom to speak into our lives.
Psalm 29: God is due glory. God is powerful and majestic. God causes our worship. He is King over everything.
Acts 18:1-17: God is with us. God watches over us, but that doesn’t mean that we are always safe from harm.
Matt 12:38-50: Jesus calls us to trust in Him without signs and wonders. He has already provided everything we need to know that he is God. He is alive.
How do I enjoy Him?
Jesus tells the scribes and pharisees that the greatest sign will be his rising from the dead. We see throughout scripture God’s strength and power. We see the power that Jesus had to raise from the dead. I can be so short-sighted sometimes. I only see the problems that are in my life, but I don’t see the power that God has over them.
My goal for today is to trust in the power that Christ has given me through His Holy Spirit. When I think about my short comings, I will remind myself of the vastness of God.
