The Lord will Provide and Protect

Who is God?

Exodus 13-15: God is our provider and protector.  God is our guide.  He knows our hearts better than we do.  Though the road might be hard, His ways are better.  God hardened Pharaoh’s heart.  The Lord will fight for us.  The Lord is the only one worthy of receiving glory.  He is the Lord our healer.
Psalms 28:  The Lord is my strength and protector.
Acts 17:16-34:  God is greater than any created thing.  He is the Creator.
Matt 12:22-37:  God’s works are to be attributed to Him.  To do otherwise is dangerous.  Everything good comes from God.

How do I enjoy Him? 

My joy comes when I realize the truth of who God is.  He is my protector and provider.  Everything good in my life and the lives of those around me come about only by the hand of God.   To enjoy Him is to rest in this truth.  I don’t need to worry about how I am going to pay the bills.  I don’t need to defend myself when someone speaks against me.  I don’t need to take credit for the good in my life.  All of that needs to be put in the hands of God.

My goal for today is worry about life, but to put my trust in God.  When I start to worry about something today, I’m going to stop and give thanks to God for already providing.
