Seek His Face
Who is God?
Exodus 10-12: God hardens pharaoh’s heart. God gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. God gives warnings. God provides a way out from destruction. God commands them to BBQ. God answers His promises.
Psalms 27: The Lord is my light and my salvation. The Lord is the stronghold of my life. He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent He will lift me high upon a rock. He tells us to seek His face. The Lord is good.
Acts 17:1-15: Jesus’ gospel reaches all people groups.
Matt 12:1-21: Jesus is greater than religion. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Jesus is healer. Jesus fulfilled prophecy. Jesus is hope for everyone.
How do I enjoy Him?
The words in Psalms sing out in my heart: “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.” “You have said ‘Seek my face.’ My heart says to you, ‘Your face, Lord, do I seek.’”
My goal is to seek the face of God. To look for His beauty in my life. To see His great work and to dwell with Him there. I will be active in seeking God. I want to be like David and say, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”
