My All in All
Who is God?
Exodus 4-6: God is our sign and voice. He provides us with the words we need. Moses had no self confidence and a speech impairment. God uses broken people to do His work. God is patient. He isn’t brought to anger until Moses questions God the third time and even then He provides Moses’ brother Aaron. God hardened Pharaoh’s heart. Everything is under the power of God. We are short-sighted in what is happening in our lives…but God knows the ultimate purpose of why things are happening in our lives.
Psalms 25: God is our guide. He leads and teaches us His ways. He is gracious and hears our cries. He hears the despair of our hearts. He forgives us of our sins.
Acts 16:1-15: (v1-5) God uses calls unlikely people to do His work. (v6-10) God is in control of our ways. (v11-15) The Lord opens the hearts of people.
Matt 11:1-19: Jesus showed His deity through His deeds. He came in peace and fulfilled the prophecies about Him.
How do I enjoy Him?
I know that in my life I have come to many conclusions. I am weak and flawed. I’m not the greatest speaker. I am prideful. I am lazy and a procrastinator. There are things/people in my past that I always have trouble letting go of. My mind is constantly filled with thoughts of how I am unworthy of the love of God. But God is patient and continues to restore me. He loves me more than I will ever understand. He forgives me and covers me with His grace. More than that He then uses me as His tool. Where I am weak He is strong. Where I have gone astray, He has brought me back to Him. He is my counselor, friend, healer, provider, strengthener, father, sacrifice, justifier, power, comfort, peace, king, lord…He is my everything. My joy comes when I realize that life isn’t about my weakness or flaws…but is about His strength and perfection.
My goal for today is to rest in the truth that life isn’t about me…but about my All in All.
